The project was born to extend the concept of nomadic society to liquid modernity. At the same time, it is concluded that before talking about housing, we talk about domestic space; being this the one that offers protection and comfort. These would be the main uses to incorporate in the project.
In a modern developed city, nomadism becomes accessible, obvious and almost inevitable and cars are taken for granted. However, in a city where transport is over water and there are no roads, cars lose their use and may have a value of representation that ironicizes the project.
Studying the city, it is observed that there is an area in the mouth of Venice full of parking lots where cars are left to catch the boat. Behind the Piazzale Roma, one of the car parks is used to settle down and create a domestic scrapyard as a park where damaged cars are transformed into the domesticity that was previously spoken of. Studying the typology of cars and scrapping machines, a catalog of possible uses is created as a manual in which depending on the vehicle or the machine we get one use or another.
El proyecto nace de extender el concepto de sociedad nómada a modernidad líquida. A la vez, se llega a la conclusión de que antes de hablar de vivienda se habla de espacio doméstico, siendo éste el que ofrece comodidad y protección. Estos serán los principales usos a incorporar en el proyecto.
En una ciudad moderna y desarrollada, el nomadismo se vuelve accesible, obvio y casi inevitable y los coches se dan por sentado. Sin embargo, en una ciudad donde el transporte es sobre agua y no hay carreteras, los coches pierden su valor de uso para adquirir uno de representación que ironiza el proyecto.
Estudiando Venecia, se lee que hay una zona en la boca de la ciudad repleta de parkings donde se aparcan los coches para coger el ferry. Detrás de la Piazzale Roma, uno de esos aparcamientos se usa para asentar y crear un desguace doméstico como parque donde los coches estropeados son transformados en la domesticidad de la que se hablaba al principio. Estudiando los tipos de vehículos y las maquinas de desguace, se elabora un catálogo/manual de usos posibles en el que dependiendo del vehículo o de la maquina seleccionada se consigue un uso específico u otro.
